Hello and welcome to another Inkspired Blog-Hop! I'm so happy you joined us! If this is your first stop please hop over to the other team players to see what they have created using the awesome sketch Teneale Williams has designed for us this week. You may have arrived here from the lovely Kozue Smith who I'm sure has inspired you with what she has created using the sketch.
The Sketch for this week
Now it is onto Maree and I can't wait to see her creation and then seeing what everyone has made.
I have used the lovely Natures Poem Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the beautiful Rooted in Nature stamp set. It really is such a fantastic stamp set. I am loving this set just as much as the Lovely as a Tree set that has been a long time favourite for many stampers. What's really great with this set is it is designed to co-ordinate with the Lovely as a Tree. stamp set and comes with 12 matching Dies which is awesome if you struggle "like me" to fussy cut.
My Card
I was a little stumped with the sketch at first this week but know I wanted to showcase some of the beautiful DSP (Nature's Poem) which co-ordinates with the Rooted in Nature Bundle so beautifully.
I started with a piece of Crumb cake cardstock which I often use as a base. Definitely one of my favourite colours. I also added an extra piece of crumb cake to the Base. I used this piece to build my layers on! This allows me to wrap and thread or ribbon to the base colour and it looks finished. A little tick I learnt from Miss Teneale....
I then layered a piece of the Nature's Poem onto some Vanilla and popped it up with some Stampin' Dimensionals. I love layers and adding dimension to my cards. The Linen thread was was wrapped around the extra piece of card base.
I then used the same piece of DSP but turned it over and used the other side which is stunning. It has leaves on it and the lovely linen look too. "LOVE IT".
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of whiter white and yes "Fussy cut it"... LOL
added it to a piece of vanilla cut out with the lovely Stitched oval Framelits. It added another bit of dimension..
To finish off I added a piece of gold foil cut out using the scalloped Square Framelits and gold and glitter leaves from the Pretty Pines Thinlits.
A close-up Shot of my card.
Love this DSP Narelle and your card is beautiful with the layers!
