Inkspired Blog hop #76 - Southern Serenade

Hello and welcome to another Inkspired Blog-Hop! I'm so happy you joined us!
Be sure to visit all stops to see what the other team members have created to share with you. You may have arrived here from the very talent Teneale Williams (who again has created an awesome sketch for us all to play along too) and I'm sure she has inspired all with her super amazing card.

This Week's Sketch...

For my card this week I have chosen the Southern Serenade stamp set which is available in the Occasions Catalogue and honestly have to say I totally skipped over this set at first. There really is so many fantastic sets in this catalogue that I didn't put it on the top of my already long list of must have's. Last week I was asked for a bundle of cards which included Mother's Day, Birthday's, Get well and Sympathy etc but this time I was asked to include some sayings. On looking closer at this beautiful set I just loved the sayings (and Font) included in this set and the added touches of lace....

Picture of what's included in the set.
I must say I took my inspiration from a card that Teneale had created early this year using the Beautiful Lavender Set from the Sale-A-Bration booklet which is almost over for another year, so hurry and place your order of $ 90 Australian dollars to earn free a free stamp set.

My card Creation

I love how this card came together. Ok I didn't get the machine out and sew the ribbon but think it look pretty just the same. I started with a piece of Sweet Sugarplum and added a strip of the Petal Garden DSP which I sanded the edges to get a softer effect.
Another little trick I learnt from Ms Teneale some time back...
Two of my favourite colours combo's are Crumb Cake and Vanilla because you can add almost any other colour to them to create a softness. I stamped the flowers and sentiment in memento ink and added colour using the light and dark Pink Pirouette Blenders and the light and dark Old Olive. I also added a touch of gold foil for the scallops and used the Very Vanilla Lace Trim to create the look of stitching. Then I added a little piece of Linen Thread to finish the card off. Next Up is the lovely Allison and I can't wait to see what she has installed for us this week.

Hello and welcome to this week's Inkspired Blog-Hop!  I'm so happy you joined us!
Be sure to visit all 5 stops to see what the other team members have created to share with you. You may have arrived here from the very talent Teneale Williams ( who creates all the fantastic sketches to play along to) and I'm sure she has inspired all with her super amazing card.

The Sketch

One of the stamp sets in the Occasions Catalogue to first grab my attention was the A Good Day stamp set.  To some - upon first glance this set might not seem like a must have but let me tell you just how cute is set really is!

My Card

My card features the sweet little Bunny from the set. The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock with a Crumb Cake Polka Dot top layer (using the Polka Dot Textured embossing folder). The main layer of the card was created using the Memories & More Card pack. I layered it onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock after using the largest square Stitched framelits to create a rectangle piece to fit the Sketch. To create the rectangle I ran it through the Big Shot half way then turn it around and ran it through the other way. The Bunny and sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede and I added a bit of colour to the Bunny using my Pink Pirouette Stampin Blends Marker. I added a little bit of Linen thread to finish off the card.

Side View

My card this week is nothing fancy, but I hope you like it!
Next Up is the lovely Allison and I can't wait to see what she has installed for us this week.

Global Design Project 128 | CASE the Designer

Hi and welcome to my blog. This week the Global Design Project is about " Case " which is casing the lovely Designer Steffi Helmschrott card. When I have some down time I love to play along to the different Challenges and GDP is one of my favourites. The team creates such inspiring creations to play along to and this week is no different with Steffi's Case.

To "Case" simple means to copy and selectively edit" as the team puts it. So we can use any element from her card.  It may be the colours, the stamp set or the card layout.  I decided to use the card layout. I wasn't sure what size (measurements) she used for her card but I liked that it was a different shape from the standard card shape we often use , so after a few mishaps (Cardstock cut wrong) in the first couple of attempts to get the same shape (my card ended up measuring 13.5 x 9.5) folded in half length-wise. "It was a case of text a friend" to see what she thought the sizing might be. Thanks Lou Lou  it worked.

My Card.

For my card I used the Timeless Textures Stamp set on page 154 of the Annual Catalogue. You can add texture and character to your cards and memory-keeping projects with this stamp set. It's very trendy and so gorgeous. I kept my card simple using Basic Black and smoky Slate. I felt it was a little plain and simple so added a little bit of colour using soft sky classic weave ribbon. I just love how everything coordinates so well with each other. Thanks Stampin'Up! for making it easy to be creative. The sentiment is from the beautiful Birthday Blooms Stamp Set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Inkspired Blog hop #73 - Beautiful Peacock

Hello,
Welcome to the 73rd Inkspired Blog-Hop!
You may have arrived here from the very talent Teneale Williams and I'm sure she has inspired all with her super amazing card.  For my card this week I used the Beautiful Peacock Stamp Set from the Sale-a -Bration Catalogue and It could be your's for free if you order $ 90 dollars worth of product between now and the end of March. Hurry time is running out! Only 6weeks to go to earn some awesome free product from Stampin' Up!

The Sketch

I got some inspiration for my card from a card shown in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue (p7)
I wasn't sure about how the sketch was meant to look but this is what I came up with.
I cut out 2 pieces of vellum and a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the beautiful Square frame Stitched Framelits die. I then stamped the bird's body in Calypso Coral (Stamped off first to soften) onto the Whisper white cardstock. Then stamping the tail with versa Mark and embossing in gold.
The beautiful friend sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral full strength.
To create the depth I popped the layered squares up with dimensionals.

To create another Coordinating Background I used another stamp in the set which can be used on its own as I have done here randomly stamping all over the cardstock or it can be used to create an extension on the beautiful peacock's tail.  Next Up is the lovely Allison and I can't wait to see what she has installed for us this week.

Inkspired Blog hop #72 - Panda Party Valentine

Hello,
Welcome to the 72nd Inkspired Blog-Hop!
You may have arrived here from Barbara (Mumma Bear) and I'm sure she has inspired all with her amazing card.  Barbara's daughter is the super talented Teneale Williams who works hard creating awesome sketches for everyone to play along too! We will miss not seeing an amazing card from Ten this week due to other commitments. For my card this week I used the Panda Party.
I fell in love with the cute little Panda Party Stamp Set from the Sale-a -Bration Catalogue and knew it would be the first set I aimed to get for free. It could be your's too if you order $ 90 dollars worth of product between now and the end of March.

This week's Sketch.

I started by creating some background paper by stamping the hearts randomly over the Whisper White cardstock. I think they are perfect for valentines, don't you!
For the Stitching I used the Square Stitched framelits die and only ran it through the Big Shot Half way so not to cut into the side. I turned it around and did the same on the other side. Wella (Stitched rectangle). I then place a little piece of Real Red Cardstock behind and die the ribbon with Real Red ink to match.

My Card

Sorry the picture is not the best but it really looks super cute in real life.
I did the same thing to create the scallops using the Square Scalloped Framelits
and a piece of Gold Foil. The Love is from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.
I fussy cut the little Panda and added a little Real Red Heart from the
Brights Glitter Acrylic Shapes.
Next up is the lovely Allison and I can't wait to see what she has created for us!

Inkspired Blog hop #71 - Beautiful Day Brusho Crystal

8:14 PM

Hello,
Welcome to the 71st Inkspired Blog-Hop!
You may have arrived here from the super talented Teneale Williams and I'm sure she has inspired all with her stunning card and sketch. Teneale works hard creating awesome sketches for everyone to play along too!

This week's Sketch.
I pulled out my new Brusho Crystal Colours and the Beautiful Day Stamp set from the new 2018 Occasions Catalogue to play a bit. I've never used Brusho before, it was a lot of fun and really easy to do!

I started by stamping the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day stamp set in versa mark ink on a piece of watercolour paper. I then sprinkled the image with White Embossing powder and heat embossed it. Next I added water using a Aqua Painter and covered the butterfly image with a good amount of water before sprinkling a little of the prussian Blue Brusho Crystals and the Moss Green randomly over the paper. I then took my Aqua Painter and blended the colours over the image and then let the panel dry completely. I then made the Butterfly the focal point using the Stitched Circle Framelits.

My Card

I created the layering  pieces using Watercolour paper and Gold foil and the Ticketed Punch from Stampin'Up!. The cardstock is Dapper Denim and a piece of Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper.
I think the colours blended well together. I used the Labeler Alphabet Stamp set to create the Hello sentiment. This was a really fun card to make. Next up is the lovely Allison.

Inkspired Blog hop #70 - Confetti Celebration

8:05 PM

 Hello,
Welcome to the 70th Inkspired Blog-Hop!
You may have come from Nicole, I'm sure she has inspired you with her stunning card.
I'm totally in love with the sketches that Teneale creates for us and again this week is no different.

This weeks sketch.
This week didn't quite go to plan. (Really).
With family coming over to enjoy a swim and BBQ lunch I was rushing to get the photos taken for the blog before light was lost. During the photo-shot I smelt Smoke. Panic set in and everyone was rushed out of the house and the local Fire Brigade was call.

The Aircon had been checked last week as it wasn't working and I have to admit, that I thought it was the cause of the fire. This is what I told the Fire Brigade "THE ROOF IS ON FIRE". I was reassured that the crew was on their way. I began checking everyone was out and accounted for.  Next was the moving of the cars, Out onto the street. The smell and smoke was getting stronger and stronger. I kept reassuring everyone it only a house and it could be rebuilt. " Really" my heart didn't feel as reassured. LOL

My little brother "The Hero " Johnny decided to take another quick look and discovered that the stove was left on and the Photographer "ME"  Had placed the DS paper on the Gas cook top that was still on. Within 5 mins the Fire Brigade had arrived and a very embarrassed "Me" had to explain my story.
All ended well!   Anyways onto this week's card. Even this I couldn't decide on,so I made three of them.

First Card

I really love this set and felt it was perfect for the Sketch as it had a star. The sketch can be moved or added to as it's only a guide to help us create. I had seen this set used before (I think it was in one of the Stampin' Up! Magazines. I added the Gingham ribbon and changed the colour.
I have also had a play with some of the New product from the Occasions Catalogue that's now live. Love this one its super AWESOME.

Card Number 2

This is the second card that I made using the Magical Day Stamp set and the Myths & Magic DSP on page 37. It's super cute. Love it.

Card Number 3

This set is really one of my favourites. Its called the Fruit Basket and the paper is called Tutti Frutti DSP. It also comes with a itty bitty punch set. Tots Love it. There is just so much fantastic stuff to chose from this time. If you would like a catalogue email me and I'll get it out to you..

The paper that caused all the problem!!!!!
A big Thanks to the NSW Fire Brigade for the quick response and reassurance.
They do an amazing JOB.

next up is the super talented Allison. can't wait to see what she has created for us!
